This opportunity is geographically restricted to Fort St John
This position provides administrative and program support services for the Oil and Gas Commission in the Compliance and Enforcement, Waste Management and Public Protection and Safety area.
Consideration will be given to those with:
- A combination of three years secretarial/stenographic/administrative support experience, education and/or training
- Experience/training in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets and other standard computer applications and programs (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, data bases, Outlook)
- There will be different combinations of relevant experience, education and/or training that would result in the person meeting the above standards. Completion of a related certificate program from a recognized post-secondary institution is preferred.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who demonstrate experience:
- Knowledge of advanced word processing, electronic time management and electornic messaging
- Knowledge of office administration and correspondence management policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Commission computer system (KERMIT, IRIS) and data bases (Inspection, Deficiency, Complaint and Incident reports)
- Good working knowledge of Compliance and Enforcement processes
- Good working knowledge of pipeline and facility application review and approval processes
- Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Activity Act requirements with respect to notification of landowners.
