The Opportunity

Corporate Services Division – Human Resources Department

Although knowledge of oil and gas industry operational practices is preferred, it is not required. The BC Oil & Gas Commission is seeking resumes from qualified professionals with ability to:

• Work in a team and contribute in a value added way to team objectives,
• Be flexible, highly adaptable and embrace challenges, and
• Prioritize, communicate effectively and consistently

Qualifications

Consideration will be given to those with:

• Relevant degree plus at least 3 years of related human resource advisory experience. There may be different combinations of experience and education that would meet this requirement.
• CHRP is preferred
• Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who demonstrate experience:

• Comprehensive knowledge of human resource management principles, policies and practices and ability to apply this knowledge to complex problems and develop creative, effective solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, to provide superior customer service, and to function in and support a team.
• Ability to apply and interpret a range of legislation, policy and collective agreements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
